Mark Troski

Dr Mark Troski commenced ophthalmic training at Moorefields Eye Hospital and  completed  his registrar training at the Royal Victorian Eye And Ear Hospital

He later joined his fathers ophthalmic practice in Collins Street and has been a consultant ophthalmologist at the RVEEH.  His practice is now exclusively devoted to cataract surgery.

He has pioneered several new intraocular lenses in this country including the Alcon AcrySof Toric lens,  he was one of the first surgeons to trial torsional phaco after having seen the prototype used by Dr Akahoshi in Japan.

Currently he is performing all cataract operations using 100% torsional phaco and has used this over the last 500 cases.

Recently he has also been combining torsional phaco with 2.2mm microcoaxial phaco.
